Bio

I was born and raised in Southern Indiana; and for me, it all started with an AM/FM transistor radio. I always waited with such anticipation to listen to Casey Kasem's American Top 40! Like Karen Carpenter, I'd sing along to the songs on the radio, especially the ballads! The songs from the radio spoke to me, and still do.

Music classes began in elementary school, and continued throughout my formative years, learning to sing and play the trombone.

My junior year of high school, I was nominated to become a member of the Statesmen, a United States Collegiate Wind Band sponsored by Purdue University. I worked with local community organizations for sponsorship and to earn the money necessary to accept my nomination. We did a three week summer tour, performing throughout Western Europe and learning about historic sites. This tour changed my life, not as much musically, but in how I began and grew to relate to our world!

After high school, I pursued and obtained a college education in computer programming. Thankfully when I graduated, I found my niche in technical support and never became a career programmer!

I returned to music in my early 30's,and began a conversation with the keyboard-both musical and PC. In reconnecting to my love of singing, I finally found my passion in composing and songwriting.
